About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Media Patrol Full-Time in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client policies and procedures at the assigned location.
  • Document incidents and maintain accurate records as required by site protocols.
