About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Industrial Patrol in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and serving as a reliable point of contact for employees and visitors. Requirements

• A valid Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the facility and its perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.
• Assist in access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily responsibilities.
