About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Hospital Perimeter Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication and customer service while documenting observations and assisting with access control. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2+ years' service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards such as unsecured doors or restricted-area access concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reports of disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or patient visitor issues, and escalate to appropriate medical staff and/or public responders as needed.
Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor authorization per site policy, directing foot traffic, and maintaining awareness of sensitive areas such as patient units and medication-related areas.
Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and patrol observations, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
