Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Exterior Patrol in NEW YORK, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related concerns, and support access control and resident interactions with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and partner with site staff. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for unusual activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations, and take appropriate action to help to deter incidents while maintaining a professional presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, alarms, and resident concerns.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
