As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government and healthcare locations, including outdoor public spaces and clinical environments. This is a driving post, so you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, document activity, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to government offices, public spaces, and healthcare-related facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions per site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or prohibited activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying authorization, issuing directions, and reporting access concerns to site management and/or public agency contacts.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
