About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Building Patrols in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting as needed according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any potential concerns.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized individuals on the premises, to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with property management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and maintain a welcoming environment for tenants and guests.
Maintain accurate records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
