About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Building Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR or first aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a visible presence on the property.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor activity as required by site-specific policies.
Participate in emergency response activities as needed, following established procedures and protocols.
