About The Position

As a Security Guard - TWIC Entry Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials, and guide employees, contractors, and visitors with professional customer service. You will complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related issues, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting a culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery documentation, and directing traffic to approved locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and document security-related activity in written and/or electronic logs according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as gates, perimeter lines, and adjacent operational zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify irregular conditions.
