Job Description Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.
Requirements
- Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Computer Literacy
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and verify credentials and/or permissions in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting supervisors and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
