About The Position

As a Security Guard - Tech/Media Patrol Driver in Bristow, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter of the location, which may include both indoor and outdoor areas within a technology-focused environment.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns, reporting observations according to established protocols.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment at the location.
