Job Description As a Security Guard - Tech Full-Time Driver Patrol in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer supporting a high-profile tech location, you will complete mobile and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and incident response. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver a welcoming customer experience. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activities and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or public services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by confirming authorization, managing visitor check-in, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor alarm panels, door status indicators, and video surveillance systems as assigned, and report suspicious activity and/or maintenance concerns through established channels.
  • Support a professional workplace environment by enforcing site rules related to prohibited items, restricted areas, and after-hours access in accordance with post orders.
  • Perform interior and exterior rounds to identify unsecured doors, lighting issues, and other conditions that could impact operations, and report findings to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs in a timely manner, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information encountered at the location.
  • Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather actions, and medical response coordination per site protocols and Allied Universal guidance.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel, vendors, and fellow officers via radio, phone, and written reports to coordinate responses and maintain consistent post coverage.
