As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also complete reports, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver a customer-focused presence that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, guests, and/or contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting conditions that may require attention.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, fire alarms, and/or other facility emergencies as directed by site procedures.
  • Support access control at entry points as assigned, including greeting visitors, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and/or directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and daily activity logs, and/or communicate key updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
