About The Position

General Description: Responsible for managing a secure entrance and perimeter for the facility Learn all the jobs of your immediate staff. Ensure completion and accuracy of reports done by staff Complete daily and weekly reports as needed Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of staff; implement disciplinary procedures when necessary. Resolve employee's conflicts and issues promptly and objectively. Direct communication with company and outside services Work in the Order Management System/Shop Floor Work with the Plant Shipping/Shag Service/Traffic Work with the Traffic Department to coordinate shipping date, times, and locations Maintain logs for inbound and outbound trucks Attend meetings as scheduled Reports to Safety Manager Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous security related experience preferred but not required
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required
  • 10-key and computer skills required
  • Ability to handle conflict
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Communication skills-written and verbal
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred but not required
  • Self-starter and Team player
  • Strong leadership / management skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check
  • Must be able to work in security guard shacks, security vehicles in hot and cold conditions
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to walk, run, sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
