About The Position

The Security Guard Supervisor at Galaxy’s Helios Facility is responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and operations by overseeing security staff, managing access control, and responding to emergencies in a fast-paced environment. The role combines hands-on security duties with team leadership, training, and collaboration with internal departments to uphold Galaxy’s security standards.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience as security guard Supervisor
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States
  • Experience using security equipment such as surveillance cameras, monitors and associated servers/programs/hard drives, is considered an asset
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal, drug and alcohol screening

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to travel to and from the Data Center site is required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak professionally in English
  • Experience writing and submitting daily reports is an asset
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually and be comfortable working for long periods by yourself
  • College Degree
  • Military Experience

Responsibilities

  • Patrol the property, monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), inspect buildings and access points, and control site entry to safeguard personnel, property, and sensitive data.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies in accordance with Galaxy’s protocols; coordinate with local emergency services as necessary and lead on-scene response efforts when required.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity logs, generate detailed incident reports, and oversee report submissions from other security personnel to ensure consistency and quality in all documentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility, both interior and perimeter, to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities. Escalate issues and recommend solutions to senior management as appropriate.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site security officers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Conduct shift briefings, assign duties, and monitor team performance.
  • Provide training and onboarding support to new security staff. Promote continuous learning by encouraging adherence to best practices in safety, emergency response, and customer service.
  • Oversee proper identification and access control procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors. Ensure compliance with all access protocols and maintain visitor logs.
  • Stay current with updates to Galaxy’s security policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. Ensure that all team activities align with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Liaise with internal teams including operations, HR, and executive leadership, particularly during investigations or high-priority events. Foster a professional, responsive, and communicative security presence across the facility.
