About The Position
As a Security Guard - State Agency Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. You will conduct regular patrols and communicate with individuals on site, contributing to a secure environment. Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports related to security-related incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
