As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting residents and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR or First Aid is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests at the shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and communication as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter prohibited items or activities and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.
Collaborate with shelter staff and other Allied Universal team members to maintain a welcoming and orderly environment for residents and visitors.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter disruptions and support a secure atmosphere within the shelter.
