About The Position

The Security Guard I position at AGS involves providing security and administrative support at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The role is essential for maintaining safety and security protocols, managing visitor access, and ensuring compliance with security regulations. The Security Guard will be responsible for greeting visitors, processing security badges, and maintaining accurate records, all while upholding confidentiality and professionalism in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (some college or security training preferred).
• Two (2) years of experience in a related field.
• Security Administration Training or Physical Security Training Certificate.
• Clearance - Secret; Top Secret/SCI Eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone calls and greets customers, responding to security emails and routing calls to the Security Team Lead.
• Inventories and ensures all badges are accounted for at the beginning and end of each tour of duty, notifying the PM/COR and team lead of any discrepancies.
• Processes all visiting customers to the RD-TSX facility, ensuring they possess valid DTRA security access badges and verifying their identification.
• Maintains accurate forms, databases, and logs for all daily visits and badge inventories, composing and preparing security-related documents for review.
• Validates all requests in DISS prior to issuing badges and issues appropriate badges based on security clearance levels.
• Provides weekly reports and metrics to the PM/COR and performs escort duties as needed.
