As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or visitors, and respond to concerns with a customer-first approach. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and property activity; verify credentials when required and direct visitors to appropriate locations while documenting access-related activity per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, alarms, and suspicious activity, and notify Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders as appropriate.
- Complete timely reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation; communicate relevant observations to property management and/or oncoming shifts to support continuity of security-related operations.
