As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service, and document activity using site systems. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, where you will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital corridors, lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbance calls, disorderly conduct, missing persons reports, and requests for assistance from clinical teams.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, assisting with visitor check-in direction, verifying badges and/or credentials as required, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and alarms; communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives as needed.
