As a Security Guard - Residential Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for residents and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for conducting security-related patrols throughout the property, remaining visible to help deter incidents, and responding promptly to any situations. You will engage with residents, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly and professionally. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive living environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the apartment community and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols throughout the residential location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with property management and Allied Universal personnel regarding incidents, concerns, or emergencies.
  • Assist in access control by observing entry points and verifying the presence of authorized individuals within the apartment community.
