As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. Your role is key in maintaining a welcoming environment, providing exceptional customer service, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying credentials of residents, guests, and service personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Provide customer service by greeting residents and visitors, answering questions, and assisting with directions or information as needed.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies for the residential location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities, following established guidelines and instructions from management or emergency personnel.
