About The Position

As a Security Guard - Reception Desk Officer in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a leading financial location, you will greet employees and visitors, help manage access procedures, monitor cameras and alarm activity, and document security-related incidents using a computer or tablet. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a calm, customer-focused presence that helps support a professional environment. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor lobby activity, alarms, and/or video systems as assigned, and report unusual activity or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting events per post orders.
• Complete required logs, reports, and pass-down communications, and assist with administrative front desk tasks as assigned by site leadership.
