Job Description Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Having security-related experience for at least 1 year is required.
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Having experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the government location.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and site staff when appropriate to address security-related concerns.
  • Support access control measures by observing and reporting on individuals entering and exiting the location.
