Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a professional office location in New York. You will monitor assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming, service-focused presence. You will document observations, support access control as needed, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors, bringing integrity, teamwork, and reliability to every shift.

Requirements

A New York State Security Guard License is required.
Must be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including interior spaces, exterior areas and perimeter points, as directed by post orders.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and/or assistance as needed, and help to report suspicious activity or policy violations.
Complete routine documentation such as shift activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
