Security Guard - Perimeter Walking Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Guard - Perimeter Walking Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will engage customers and team members with clear communication, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements
- Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or authorization where required, and assist with queue management and customer flow during peak periods.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate notable activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
