About The Position

As a Security Guard - Perimeter Patrol Rounds in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
Have customer service experience, preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech campus or data center location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, manage visitor check-in processes, and report unauthorized entry attempts per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and/or alarms, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders when needed.
Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate observations and/or escalation needs to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
