About The Position

As a Security Guard Patrol Monitor in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns that need attention.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support access control processes in accordance with site protocols.
Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations observed during patrols, and/or help support orderly operations during deliveries, shift changes, and emergency situations.
