About The Position

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Full-Time in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol dynamic tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a caring and team-oriented approach. This is a driving post, offering you the opportunity to play a key role in fostering a secure and welcoming environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the premises, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address concerns and uphold site protocols.
  • Document and communicate incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with company and location requirements.
  • Remain alert to changing conditions and potential security-related risks within a tech, media, or telecom environment.
