About The Position

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Full-Time in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol dynamic tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a caring and team-oriented approach. This is a driving post, offering you the opportunity to play a key role in fostering a secure and welcoming environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity within the premises, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address concerns and uphold site protocols.
Document and communicate incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with company and location requirements.
Remain alert to changing conditions and potential security-related risks within a tech, media, or telecom environment.
