Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document daily events, incidents, and observations in required logs and reports.
  • Support site rules related to restricted areas, vehicle activity, and/or contractor access while maintaining professionalism in active industrial working environments and changing conditions.
