Job Description As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Government Site in Texas City, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This driving post requires you to navigate assigned routes and interact professionally with individuals onsite. You will contribute to a welcoming environment by providing outstanding customer service and communication, all while embodying Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.
Requirements
- A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees while representing Allied Universal on site.
- Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and/or site management.
