As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols of building interiors and exteriors, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to tenant and visitor concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, report maintenance and/or access issues, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first culture.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial property setting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading and delivery zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity; assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic and/or communicating entry requirements per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting observations, and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local responders as needed.
- Complete routine reporting, including patrol logs and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and onsite management.
