Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that values being agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation support as directed and requesting appropriate assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor access points, visitor flow, and restricted areas according to site procedures, including verifying identification and/or directing staff, patients, and visitors to appropriate areas.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, alarms, and unusual observations, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
