As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, support site communications, and report concerns with clear, timely updates. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas, including utility infrastructure and access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, check identification and/or credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vendor entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and maintain logs for keys, badges, and/or equipment as required by site policy.
