You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, support site protocols, and collaborate with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a tech and telecom location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, loading and parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor alarms, access control points, and/or video surveillance systems, and report unusual conditions, maintenance issues, and security-related hazards through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts, and/or contacting public emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and corrective actions in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.
