Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points as required.
Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems as required.
Assist with access control by checking identification, verifying authorization, and/or directing visitors and deliveries per site guidelines.
Communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal supervision, and/or local public services as needed during incidents and routine operations.
Operate and/or monitor site equipment such as radios, phones, key control systems, and/or cameras when assigned.
Follow post orders, remain attentive to changing conditions, and support other assigned duties consistent with the unarmed patrol post.
