As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and reports, and provide professional customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and reporting to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and trailer yards to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
- Monitor inbound and outbound activity at entrances, gates, and dock areas by controlling access, checking identification, and logging visitor, vendor, and driver traffic per site procedures.
- Operate and observe security-related systems such as cameras, alarm panels, and/or access control points, and communicate irregular activity according to post orders.
