As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned education-focused cultural location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff, communicate clearly, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • The client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, classrooms, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter policy violations, unauthorized access, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and interior spaces, checking credentials as required, directing foot traffic, and/or assisting with after-hours access in accordance with location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes, coordinating with site leadership, and/or requesting public responders when needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate observations and security-related concerns to supervision and/or location contacts.
