As a Security Guard - Part-Time Patrol Driver in Kaneohe, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication, and document observations with accuracy and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas as permitted, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management by observing for unusual activity, verifying authorization when required, and reporting concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete shift logs and incident reports with accurate details, and communicate relevant observations to the oncoming officer and/or supervisor to support continuity of security-related operations.
