As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe activity, document findings, communicate clearly with site teams and drivers and/or visitors, and provide strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and check trucks, trailers, and visitor arrivals against site requirements, assisting with directing drivers and visitors to proper check-in and staging areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and assisting with crowd and traffic control during disruptions.
  • Complete timely reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate status updates to supervisors and site contacts.
