As an Allied Universal unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter doors to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor check-in, wayfinding and/or basic access control in accordance with site-specific policies and privacy expectations.
  • Document observations, patrol results and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate shift handoff information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
