As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community, you will support access control by welcoming residents and guests, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and tracking entries using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, document activity, and respond to concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Have a guard card.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or deliveries by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor lists, issuing access credentials as directed, and documenting entries and exits.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, alarm panels, and/or other access control systems, reporting irregular activity and maintenance issues per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site management and/or emergency services as required and completing written reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, amenities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report concerns per site procedures.
