Requirements
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
- Support emergency response activities when appropriate, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Assist with controlling access to restricted areas within the retail environment as directed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
