Job Description As a Security Guard - NYS Licensed Site Patrol near Battery Park , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading docks, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and common areas, check identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor directions, deliveries, and contractor check-in per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, suspicious activity, and property-related concerns, and notify appropriate contacts as needed.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate conditions and follow-up needs to site management and/or responding personnel, and support emergency drills and after-hours protocols.
