About The Position

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver Nights in Bloomington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will drive between assigned areas and conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial office property.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, interior spaces, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management as directed by site procedures, including checking credentials, issuing visitor directions, and reporting access issues to property management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, disturbances, medical situations, and property damage, and request additional support when needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations using written reports and/or electronic reporting tools, and communicate key updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
