About The Position
As a Security Guard - Museum Exhibit Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
- Applicants who can lift more than 20 pounds are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report any security-related issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with crowd management and access control during events or busy periods, helping to maintain order within the location.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for all guests.
