About The Position

As a Security Guard - Media Studio Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and support a welcoming experience through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and site occupants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout a technology office, campus, and/or warehouse environment, including interior spaces, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verify authorization as required by post orders, and direct employees, vendors, and guests to appropriate locations.
Observe and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations, and promptly notify site leadership and/or appropriate responders based on incident type.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing clear instructions to site occupants and assisting with evacuation and/or shelter procedures when directed.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, alarms, cameras, and other security-related equipment, and report malfunctions and/or maintenance needs through established channels.
Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and log entries with accurate details, including times, locations, and actions taken.
Support security-related screening and delivery protocols as assigned, including monitoring dock activity, verifying delivery documentation, and coordinating with operations staff.
Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and local emergency services as needed, using radios, phones, and written documentation.
