About The Position

As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Lobby Monitor in Newton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk professional at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, managing access control and responding to security-related inquiries. You will support daily operations, provide excellent customer service, and help to deter incidents through your welcoming presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors at the front desk, providing a professional and courteous first point of contact.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and issuing visitor badges according to site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and security-related incidents as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, communicating promptly with appropriate personnel when situations arise.
  • Provide customer service by answering inquiries, giving directions, and assisting with general questions related to the location and its procedures.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel to help to deter potential issues.
