About The Position

As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Team in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at this retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with guests and tenants, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as required.
Assist with crowd management and/or line control during high-traffic periods or special events.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
