Job Description As a Security Guard - Mall Entry Control in Front Royal, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout the site. You will utilize access control systems and provide excellent customer service, all while embodying our core values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and location staff to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
