Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for any suspicious activity or unauthorized access and report findings according to site protocols.
Assist with controlling access points for vehicles and/or personnel as required by site-specific procedures.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to provide assistance or information related to security-related matters.
Document and report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Support Allied Universal and client management by following established protocols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
